UITP Academy launches SAFE BUS training

This SAFE BUS e-Learning course introduces participants to a new and innovative training initiative on the security of public bus transportation. It is designed for both managers and bus drivers and aims to enrich security procedures and implement ready to use recommended solutions.

The training will equip learners with:

1. Understanding the differences between activism and extremism;
2. Recognizing vulnerabilities and suspicious behaviour;
3. Actions to take regarding concerns or potential security situations;
4. Learn to construct a comprehensive security concept;
5. Build sound emergency preparedness & and response plans;
6. Learn the basics of crisis communication.

Additional modules, specifically tailored for bus drivers and bus managers, will be made available through the course of the 2023 year. All learners will be notified as soon as these are available. A recognised certification will be awarded to those who successfully complete all modules.
