To enhance awareness and enable action, the SAFEBUS project has produced a comprehensive handbook and pocket-sized booklet with tips and best practices for the use of management and drivers, respectively.
Transport operators are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of their passengers. Besides providing safe and reliable transport, this also includes protecting them from crime and potential acts of terrorism. The management handbook is intended for security managers and provides guidance for their measures and policies.
On the other hand, the smaller driver's handbook outlines the role of bus drivers within a company’s security plans and concepts. It contains relevant contacts and references along with the procedures that must be followed in emergencies.
Given that our partners come from various countries across Europe, the booklets and handbooks come in multiple national languages to promote their use in every SAFEBUS country.
